SDCC 2013: Warner Bros. Announces Next Man Of Steel Film As Part Of DC Cinematic Universe

According to prior statements produced by Man Of Steel star Henry Cavill, a Justice League would not be most likely to occur quickly unless other films have been carried out to assist develop the universe to fit the characters. This was specifically the case with The Avengers as it had 2 Iron Man motion pictures, 2 Hulk motion pictures, and initial film installments of Captain America and Thor, each with sequels pending, and largely why The Avengers continues to be so profitable.

Also, interestingly adequate, with Christian Bale retiring the Batsuit with The Dark Knight trilogy helmer Christopher Nolan's involvment with the sequel previously unknown at the time, there has also been talk of the subsequent Batman film following the Batman Beyond story seperate from the Batman Nolanverse.

I gotta say, it sounds like a lot of hype with people throwing out a lot of possibilities for the future of the character. Truth be told although, Warner Bros and DC Comics have to take the time to produce the universe to make a Justice League movie feasible. And from the looks of factors more than at Hall H panel at the San Diego Comic Con on Saturday, it looks like they might do just that.

Here is the official statement, courtesy of ComingSoon.net:

On the heels of the worldwide accomplishment of "Man of Steel," director Zack Snyder is bringing collectively the two greatest Super Heroes of all time—Batman and Superman—for the initial time on the large screen. The announcement was made these days by Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, and Sue Kroll, President, Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution, Warner Bros. Photographs.

The current hit, "Man of Steel," has taken in much more than $ 630 million at the worldwide box workplace to date, and climbing. Along with its star, Henry Cavill, the upcoming film brings back Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane. The new Batman has yet to be cast.

Snyder is co-writing the story with David S. Goyer, who will then pen the screenplay. Production is anticipated to commence in 2014, with an anticipated release date in Summer 2015.

Silverman stated, "Zack Snyder is an incredibly talented filmmaker, but beyond that, he's a fan 1st and he utterly gets this genre. We could not believe of any individual better suited to the activity of bringing these iconic Super Heroes to the screen in his own way." Kroll added, "We are thrilled to be back in enterprise with Zack and his group on this subsequent film. The good results of ‘Man of Steel' is a wonderful testament to the really like and support that each fans and new audiences, worldwide, have for these characters. We are really excited to see what Zack has in retailer for all of us.

"Diane Nelson, President, DC Entertainment, noted, "Superman and Batman collectively on the large screen is a dream come correct for DC fans everywhere. All of us at DC Entertainment could not be far more excited for Zack's continuing vision for the DC Universe."

Zack Snyder, who produced a surprise look at Comic-Con right now, breaking the news to audiences there, later mentioned, "I'm so excited to begin operating again with Henry Cavill in the planet we produced, and I can't wait to expand the DC Universe in this subsequent chapter. Let's face it, it's beyond mythological to have Superman and our new Batman facing off, given that they are the greatest Super Heroes in the planet."

The new film brings back Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder as producers. This time, Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas are serving as executive producers, along with Benjamin Melniker and Michael E. Uslan.Thomas offered, "While our ‘Dark Knight' trilogy is complete, we have every single self-confidence that Zack's fresh interpretation will take the character in a new and exciting direction.

His vision for Superman opened the door to a entire new universe and we can't wait to see what Zack does with these characters.

"The film is primarily based on Superman characters produced by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster, and Batman characters created by Bob Kane, published by DC Entertainment.

The Hollywood Reporter also stated that a Flash movie will be worked in for a 2016 release prior to the hotly-anticipated League film a year later.

Back in Might before Man Of Steel was released, Cavill expressed his personal optimism for the feasible classic big screen double group, saying, "I believe it would be genuinely fascinating with the age-old Batman/Superman conflict due to the fact they are two various sides of the very same coin and their strategies are totally different. And I consider it would really make for an fascinating story as to why, 1st of all, they have been going head to head and how. I consider that would make a fantastic story. Who knows, I’m positive there’s all sorts of concepts being thrown around at Warner Bros proper now."

My thoughts on this are fairly fair, I feel. Whilst items are abound for the Justice League film to occur, I still get testy with there getting no Wonder Woman film soon after all these years. A film was reported to be confirmed a few years ago, with MMA goddess, actress Gina Carano hyped to play the function at one point. Though these days, Gina will be likely busy helping bring Goddessy character Avengelyne to the massive screen in the months to come, which is why she won't probably be involved with anything Wonder-releated.

Plus, properly...drama.

The next few years are seeking very good people! Remain tuned for far more news on this story.
