HERCULES 3D Director Renny Harlin Drops Sequel Clues

Cliffhanger, Die Tough two and 12 Rounds director Renny Harlin is lining up post-production on his subsequent hopeful blockbuster, Hercules 3D, starring Kellan Lutz, and also starring Liam McIntyre and Scott Adkins. With all hopes in place for a sequel, Empire got the most current scoop from the director on what the subsequent hopeful installment would entail.

"Our story is the young Hercules, so I would say that the sequel will almost certainly dive into the Labours." Harlin says. "As you know, in the mythology Hercules ended up killing his wife and youngsters, and as atonement he got the 12 Labours. So we certainly reference them as a future issue, but he does not go by means of them since he’s just beginning his journey."

Harlin's existing production is described as becoming a cross-between Louis Leterrier's Clash Of The Titans (2010) and Ridley Scott's Gladiator (2000), where the screenplay will concentrate on Hercules's unrequited adore for the mortal princess of Crete, and increasing up against a tyrannical king whilst coming to terms with being the son of Zeus. The screenplay was co-written by Harlin along with Daniel Giat, Sean Hood and Giulio Steve and is slated for a March 2014 release.

Lutz will join UFC shining star Ronda Rousey amongst a set of other new faces set to appear with Sylvester Stallone and Co. in The Expendables 3 with director Patrick Hughes for next summer season. Adkins, the center of the newest campaign to get him in the Batsuit for Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel comply with-up superhero blockbuster, Batman Vs. Superman, is at the moment in Hong Kong shooting Warg with actor/director Jacky Wu Jing. Adkins will also be starring in Ninja: Shadow Of A Tear and Green Street Hooligans: Underground later this year.
